Located in the Bronx, Wave Hill Garden overlooks the Hudson River, in a space where connections occur in an intimate setting, allowing genuine emotions to unfold on your wedding day. The beautifully maintained estate wedding venue features over 28 acres of private gardens, terraces, and greenhouses that have played host to notable guests of the past, including Mark Twain. Though the gardens are open to the public during the day for a look inside the immersive, natural setting, once the doors are closed for the evening, Wave Hill transforms into a wedding and event venue. All in all, welcoming couples and their guests to a space that feels secluded and private, with a backdrop featuring the glittering lights of the city off in the distance.
Emotion-Driven Wave Hill Garden Wedding
The joy in the air on the evening of Laura and Dima’s wedding was palpable, from the moment of their first look through to the end of the evening, they were fully present in each other’s company, focused on one another with the excitement of embarking on their future together.
Before the start of their ceremony, Laura and Dima found a quiet corner of their garden wedding venue, just outside the entrance to the domed greenhouse, to exchange a first look. Laura was positively elated as she approached Dima, tapping him on the shoulder to signal for him to turn around and see her for the first time on their wedding day.

Dima was instantly overcome with happiness as the sight of his bride, remarking that she looked beautiful in her wedding gown before pulling her close for a tender embrace. This shared moment between them set the tone for the day ahead, with excitement, joy, and presence at the very center of their wedding day.
A Wedding Ceremony in Armor Hall with a Reception Following in Wave Hill House
Laura and Dimas’s Wave Hill Garden wedding was a true reflection of them. They are a couple who find safety in each other’s arms, and a couple who, no matter the conversation, are able to see each other’s point of view through understanding and compassion. They have a slow, intentional affection for one another that permeates to those around them.
Their exchange of wedding vows took place inside Wave Hill House at the Armor Hall. This particular space is warm and inviting, with Romanesque architectural features, cathedral windows, and a 16th-century fireplace.

Under the chuppah, Laura and Dima recalled their first date, including a funny anecdote from Laura about how she almost cancelled the date because she was so sure that Dima wouldn’t be right for her, and how she ultimately didn’t want the date to end. They went on to share the characteristics they both love so much about each other, reflecting on the delight they have for their future ahead. With a stomping of the glass, a resounding Mazel Tov, and a round of applause from their guests, they were pronounced husband and wife.
The reception following their ceremony was very much a continuation of the early sentiment felt during their first look. Toasts in honor of Laura and Dima were given by a number of beloved family members, including the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom. But what stood out the most about their Wave Hill Garden wedding reception was the setting. Soft candlelight, the absence of a sweetheart table, a bubbly champagne tower, first dances, an energetic Hora, and a live band that brought the party to the dance floor.

NYC Wedding Videography
My approach to NYC wedding videography is to create films that are a true reflection of you. Telling your story through the unscripted, natural moments that feel personal, timeless, and significant. Your wedding film shouldn’t feel posed or staged, but instead a portrayal of what mattered the most. Whether you are planning a Wave Hill Garden wedding or you have another location in NYC in mind, you can find more details on working with me to capture the vibe of how your wedding day felt when you follow this link.
